No seriously, the school is on a hill

Drove my car for the first time since I got it this morning. I was happy. For the whole, what, 2 minutes it takes to get to school from home?
Anywho, talked to Jake for the first time in forever. He agrees with me that these are getting less detailed, but thinks it's because I don't remember my day.
He said I should have just a picture and a caption for it.
I'm good with the blog.

That being said, I'm seriously seriously asking you for any additions you would like to see added to this. I want to make it more interesting for you and for me.

Anywho, Japanese was fun. We kept making fun of Kenshin and I ended up getting two more people into the Roy-Communist Coalition. Hopefully we'll be in the dodgeball tourney.
Math was great. I don't know why, but it was. The work is easy yet still tests your brains, and Mr. Fortuna is an awesome teacher. Apparently a great person too, but I didn't get to help out on Ryan's house this summer or now, so I'm not in the circle.
Lunch was fun. Card games were less intense. Ellen joined the Roy-Communist Coalition. Matt owed me a pickle. The cough drop fixed everything.

Earth/Space was boring. The only thing decent coming out of it was getting to talk to Rachel Irvine. I like meeting new people, and right now, she, Madi, and Allsion are the closest to that.

Creative Writing, they talked about senior stuff with the conselours again. So, waste of time, no more classes until Tuesday.
Labor day weekend.

No rehearsal, instead went to actual job. Still looking for different job. Arby's is messed up. Oh well.

Broke the apartment key. Need to get a new one. Until then, I have to bug the ladies downstairs to let me in.

Nothing else.
But that's because you haven't suggested anything yet.

Postscript: Took early this morning so I wouldn't have to carry my camera around. Jake and Brandon. It's all tilted and such.

Roger is watching intently in the background

I tell you now, email me at haisocass@comcast.net for anything you'd like to see added to the blog. I'm starting to grow weary of telling about my day, and as you've noticed, the detail in it is fading.
Keep me interested, we're not even done with the first nine weeks.

Started off today waking up a half hour late, due to exhaustion. Don't know why. I ended up being tired most of the day.
Got to school, talked to random people, didn't do much else.
W131 first. Instead of a class, the counselors came in and we discussed stuff that I already new from either my own applications or hearing them in 21st century scholars meetings.
Eventually, it ended, and I went to English. I think the tiredness makes the day slower for me. English was just sorta boring. I don't remember much, think I did good on a simple test, and left for psychology.
Psychology was great. For the first hour, we took the test over chapter one and the prologue. I think I did fairly well, and I'll find out when the time comes.
Sat outside for lunch today. Nothing really interesting happened.
German was just all around fun. Even the test. The alphabet is too similar and it's so simple figuring out which is which. Also learned more numbers (that I've apparently memorized), and got on with it.
Also, there was a homeroom thrown somewhere between Psych and German. It was pointless. Even more pointless than I first believed.

First rehearsal was today. My cast and I found out that they're missing four pages. So I gotta find Jacobs tomorrow to get new copies.
I like my cast. A few people are a little nervous, plus the editors sucked on some of the dialogue, but they get the gist of it, and I'm confident in their abilities. I hope it goes well. Can't wait to see the others as well.

I got my car back. 'Nuff said.

<3 Peace
~Zaq

Postscript: I didn't feel like taking a picture (even though I had my camera), so I took one of the ones Carie took when she walked in near the end of rehearsal. When we were on one of the four pages we were missing, I had to share my script. The pic was taken near the end when Madi (far left), who plays Christine, and Allison (Far right), who plays Anonymous, ( I was filling in as doctor) wrap up the play. Gotta love it.

Meet My Teachers

Hey, don't forget to read the one titled "8/26/08". I wrote it today, and it tells you why.

So anxiousness wasn't up yet. Not only did I have to wait until 3:15 to discuss anything with any cast members, but I had Comedy Sportz Auditions too. But all's fair.

Japanese was passive for me. I was still wore out from casting, so the class was apathetic.
Fortuna's class woke me up a bit, like no other. Dude is no energetic, you've got to keep up. Graded our tests from last time. 46/50. I liked it, don't feel like retaking.
Lunch was cool. We had another intense battle of B.S. It was so intense, that it took a couple of minutes for people to realize that Ellen had won.
Earth/Space made me apathetic and tired again. Yeesh...
Creative Writing was fun, but it was still blah.
My book is getting interesting, but it's almost over. Gotta get the sequel.

Comedy Sportz went awesome. I loved it, and casting took all of five minutes. Beautiful

Went home, ate steak, went back to school for meet the parents night. It was cool. A few were pointless, but the teachers that could keep it interesting definently did.
Mom got a cookie.
And IO, not only did I get a sticker from Clements, it's one of the coveted shiny smiley face ones.

Postscript: Picture taken during auditions for Csz. That's Ed. Hi, Ref Ed!

8/26/08

Sorry that I'm late on this one, but I crashed like no other after everything was finished.

Alright, so all day (8/26) was one big block of anxious that just increased as the day went on. In W131, I was pretty distracted with all the work we were doing, as excited about the upcoming assignment. I've always wanted to read about the Stanford Prison Experiment.
English was alright. It want by faster. I don't think I will really be that into it until we get to the Crucible or the Gothic Horror section.
Psychology was amazing as usual. Actually, it was just decent. However, Mr. Leswing just has that charisma to hold my attention, which is awesome.
Lunch with the Japanese students seemed pointless to me. In retrospect, I probably should've just went outside with my friends. But hey, past is past.
Last but not least is German. It was awesome, but I felt so anxious during the class and kept glancing at the clock. It seemed pretty much review-ish anyway.

And finally, One Acts Auditions.

So about halfway through, Taylor, Tucker, and I all had to use the restroom. Yet, we waited and watched. And it was worth it. We've got some nice talent coming in and the old talent as always. Casting was stressful as no other, but we got through it, and I love my cast. I just hope I stay in that mindset for awhile, because we're now stuck with each other.

<3 Peace

Postscript: The lovely Carie McMichael took this picture. Mr. Jacobs is intently watching the auditions, Ashton (non-director) is reading papers. Hannah Irvine is laughing. Michael Tucker is writing, as am I. And Taylor is watching. I made all directors wear hats. Tucker's is off because he couldn't see.

I want a fox named Nightbeak

Concept time. Drop me a line at haisocass@comcast.net, and give me a little info about you. I'd like to know who all is reading this. Also, if you want me to add anything (almost anything) to these blogs on a weekly/daily/monthly basis or one time only, I'm open to suggestions. Until One Acts and Csz get more in depth, these will be primarily about classes.
Japanese was alright. Normal blah blah blah stuff since we have lunch with the Japanese kids tomorrow. Cut up some meishi, spoke some "What is your favorite" and left. Woo...
Algebra 2 was boring. Easy work. Easy quiz. 'Nuff said.
At lunch, we had the most intense game of B.S. ever. EVER. EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Having Earth/Space with Taylor is hilarious. Just great.
Creative writing just made me realize something.
I'm sorry for everyone who is having a shitty year, but it's been great for me. Sure, I have a shitload of homework on a nightly basis, I have to deal with work, csz and drama, and somehow find time to stay sane, but it's still my favorite year so far. Sure, I miss last year's seniors, but they didn't effect my life any. They were just awesome people I got to hang out with. Most of the people that effect my life were younger than me or my age.
After school, I helped jump start a couple of cars. In a row.
Twas great.

Finishing up "The City of Ember". It's amazing.

Postscript: Japanese. People pretending to work. Sensei trying to get people to work. Hermes being moronic. :D

TERRORISM!!!

I'm going to go ahead and not have a postscript, and tell you now. Christian Barnes was also suppose to be in this picture, but backed out right when I hit the button, making me say, "Great, now people will think I'm taking pictures of random guys."

So, hey, I'm caught up now and get to right about a day that I actually remember. Sweet.
Well, last night, I forgot to bring my W131 book home, so first thing in the morning, I attempted to complete it. Luckily, Oliver wasn't here, so I was able to finish the last bit of it in class.
During our group talk about the papers, Michael and I kept talking about the episode of Robot Chicken where the little kid pledges allegiance to "fart", and then the whole TERRORISM thing after it. It was great.
English was better again, after we got through reviewing our homework. We went into the computer lab and set up moodle and an account on the textbook site. For homework, we have to read Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God by Jonathan Edwards. I like looking into religions, so I think I'll like his blatant description of hell, even if I may not agree with the dude. I mean, who wants to be yell-preached at for two hours?
AP Psych was cool, but Pebz was all sad. It was Lindsey's bday, and Elise was being Elise. There was nothing extra about today's Psych class, but that was cool with me, I didn't feel that well. For lunch, IO helped Haley sneak out to sit with us. Elise and I got interviewed by the cougar news, but apparently McKenna had the mic hooked up wrong, so we won't be on it.
German was hilarious. Thanks to mom, I already know a bunch of German phrases, so die Frau and I will discuss stuff like what I know and such. IO has one more sticker than me, and I must defeat that.

Anywho, I'm out.

<3 Peace
~Zaq

Postscript: My P.S. is about something else! I'm starting to read a book called 'The City of Ember' and a prologue and one chapter in, it's amazing. I'm going to love it and its sequels. Post Apocalyptic Fiction is amazing to me.

8/21/08

And after this, I am all caught up and hopefully won't miss so many days. Yeesh.
Opened with Japanese 1. The Foreign Exchange kids are coming next week and since this year they are middle school girls who barely talk to sensei, me and Branden are plotting ways of making them talk. The best so far is to scope out the alpha female, kidnap her, and make the others talk to get her back.
Algebra 2 was fine. Boring. Maybe I was just down.
Lunch was slightly uneventful. Tony actually won a game of B.S. Nothing else really.
Earth/Space was pointless. Nothing interesting happens. Lastly, we started poetry in Creative Writing. So, fear that.

When drama starts up, there will be a lot more than just classes. Until then, deal with it.

<3 Peace
~Zaq

Postscript: Got a pic of Ellen as she was trying to drive away. Forgot about the camera until right then.

8/20/08

I can remember that (most of) Wednesday was an awesome day. W131 started out with some awesomeness. English made a surprise interest by getting to watch Planet of the Apes (Marky Mark version). The Micheal Jackson monkey makes me laugh.
AP Psych was awesome as always, and Mr. Leswing lost a dollar to Lauren Kiser. He was unsucessful at getting it back.
We decided to sit outside for lunch, and fit 8 people at a bird poo infested table. It was awesome. Schyler, Kevin, Elise, Me, Jamie, Lindsey, Pebbles, and IO getting to do whatever we want cuz we're seniors!
Sweetness.

Everything after school is not forced to be blog, so I'm ignoring it.

<3 Peace
~Zaq

Postscript: During Lunch. IO wanted to be in the pic, so I told her to lean in. Jamie tried to escape but to no avail.

8/19/08

So, you may be asking, "Zachary, why don't you have a title, and instead have a date?" Well random person who is asking the question, I will do that whenever I am late updating the blog for a certain day. It just so happens that I'm three days behind plus today's actual date. So let's get started.
Tuesday was a cool day, I think. I don't know. I can't really remember. All I remember is that when Call Outs rolled around, I found out two important things.
1) Not only are a crapload of people interested in drama this year, at least 1/2 of them are freshmen.
2) I am Mr. Jacobs' Gopher

Seriously, he walked past a bunch of people to get to me to go cut some papers to hand out to the call out. The gopher perspective showed up later.
I went to the booster meeting, and Mr. Jacobs had me go out to his car to retrieve the Air Show papers. I don't mind being the gopher, but I get the right to hand it down at circle.

Nothing else for that day, seeing as I can't remember.

<3 Peace
~Zaq

Postscript: The pic was taken at the booster meeting. I would have taken one at the call out, but Mr. Jacobs distracted me with menial tasks. I'll definitely have a good one for One Acts and Comedy Sportz auditions.

Clever title

Walking around this morning was fun. I don't really know why, but it was pretty amazing. W131 is instantly becoming one of my better classes, even if we have to use MLA format for all of our papers. Mr. Oliver is hilarious, IO is in there, and even my group is awesome. I've gotta love it.
English...just sucks. We started talking about the butterfly effect (the theory) and when I made a valid point, they started talking about how the movie had nothing to do with it (even though what I said had nothing to do with the movie). The teacher has it out for me for no reason.
She needs to get over herself and learn that I'm just there to pass.
Psychology, like always, was amazing. Having it at lunch is even better. Mr. Leswing is an awesome teacher, and I have a plethora (great word) of friends in the class. Lunch was great, but Becca failed us. The only reason we sat inside was because we thought she was sitting with us, but she didn't. Later, we find out that Pebz and Schyler saved us seats outside. Becca apologize-leeched me all the way to class. It was hilarious.
German is fun, but having it at the end of the day makes it kinda slow. I'm quickly learning what she has to teach, so it's still doing what it's suppose to.
Callouts tomorrow. One Acts suppose to be Wednesday, but rumors of Mr. Jacob moving it is making me mad. CSz better not change.
Went to the library after school to pick up some books. Got "The City of Ember" which I wanted to read. If anyone has any of the sequels, I'd like to borrow. After that, I hung out at Pk's with Anthony and Brandon.

Nothing Else.

<3 Peace
~Zaq

Postscript: I had little pocket room to be carrying around the camera, so I took the shot right before leaving my car. Sorry. Better pic tomorrow at Callouts.

Bright and early

Yesterday, after writing the blog and talking to Ellen, I fell asleep. I was asleep from then until 11 pm. That's when today started for me. I ate my missed supper and got online. Seeing Sammy online reminded me that the midnight showing of Star Wars was then, and I went to see it. It was hilarious and amazing. The CGI 3D series looks promising, and maybe I'll finally have something to watch on television again.
I then went home and found out that the site I use to watch movies had a good quality version of Step Brothers, so I watched it. Eventually, the time for school rolled around.
This morning was awkward. Let's leave it at that. Eventually my friends came along and the awkwardness ended.
I've gained a new found admiration for sensei. He actually seems to be controlling students (at least in my class). I might actually get to learn stuff that'll stick. The class blew on by. This isn't the only promising thing on gold days. Far from it.
Mr., Fortuna is awesome. I love how he runs things in his class. The overall learning experience is amazing and, unbeknownst to some people, I actually do like Algebra. Logic mixed with rationality. It's great.
First lunch, so I got to be with Ellen. Ryan, Chris Roberts, Fred, Tony, and myself played B.S. Ryan and Chris aren't that great at it. Both Fred and I picked up a victory respectively.
Earth Space was good but, today it was pretty much the rules.
Creative Writing was the rules, but we learned at the same time. It was an amazing class, and Mrs. Heck looks like a promising teacher. The only problem with it is that there's a limit to some points, and how she goes about it is kinda moronic.
Oh well.

Nothing else to report. Trying to stay awake, waiting for GENCON.
See you guys Monday.

<3 Peace
~Zaq

Postscript: The pic was taken from my balcony to the street below at about five am. The start of my day had darkness in it, so I thought it would be cool to show the night.

People are slow

First full day. Blue day. Started off by getting to school at 7am, which is no problem. Some people take forever getting there and I'm left bored for a bit. The box office was kinda saddening too. There was a lack of people, and the people who were there seemed distant and apathetic.
Oliver's class was cool...I guess. Watching him make fun of the screw ups on the morning announcement was great. IO in that class is what will make it fun to me. I just don't like MLA format, but I don't care all that much.
Bunnell's class was incredibly pointless. I don't like it that much when teachers only go over rules and pass out stuff on the first day. At least have something cool to surround it. Going over the semester for an hour and a half is downright boring.
Walk into AP Psych and the lights were off. Leswing comes in and turns on a movie. Then another one. We write quick lists on paper and get credit for them. He'll go over his syllabus after lunch.
Lunch was cool. A lot more people than I thought in my lunch. Sat with Jake, Lindsey, Schyler, and Pebbles. IO and myself made Jamie our messenger back and forth, but she wimped out.
Rest of Psych was cool. Mr. Leswing is good at holding attention.
German was boring, but Clements made it somewhat interesting around all the rules and stuff. Tomorrow is going to suck. Rules from my next four teachers.

After school was moronic. People need to learn how to walk. Freshmen block one hallway and then get upset when they can't move. People are slow.

<3 Peace
~Zaq

Postscript: Pic is of Lindsey at lunch. Pebbles is to her left. I was trying to get both of them without looking at the screen while hiding my camera from teachers. I don't think Lindsey realized until after the pic was taken.
By the way, you can comment on these even if you don't have a blogspot/blogger account.

The Last First Day

For the fourth time in my entire life, I've walked through doors (they changed the entrance) expecting to find something...different. Every year, it's something else.
Freshmen year, I was expecting to find some of my old friends leave and for me to gain friends that left their old ones.
Sophomore year, I was expecting tons of drama that would tear me apart from one limp to another.
Junior year, I was expecting to make new friends, regain old ones, and be active.
This year, I walked through those doors and expected for my world to be flipped upside down this year. I expected for my first last day to go amazingly, and I've got to say, it did.

For my first post on the 180 Day Blog, I'd like to rip off Brittany Royce, a friend of mine since Freshmen year. She rated each of her classes on a scale of one to ten, and gave a reason why. So Brittany, thanks for the idea.

B1- Adv Comp W131 (Oliver)- Now when people told me that Mr. Oliver was basically sarcasm incarnate, I wasn't expecting him to be. I mean, sarcastic yeah, but not that sarcastic. He's made of it. The 29 minutes we had in his class was hilarious. The fact that IO is in there with me just makes it better. Rating=8/10

B2-Honors English 11 (Bunnell)- I'm not expecting much from this class, except to pass it. Maybe I'll like it as time goes on, like Scini's class last year. Meredith and Kayla being in there helps. Rating=6/10

B3-Ap Psychology (Leswing)- Ok, this class, I was waiting for. And not only because I had homework for it during the summer. Leswing is an amazing teacher, and he started the class out sweet. I have it with Pebbles, Schyler, Jamie, and Lindsey. Also Rachel Irvine, but she sits away from us. Rating=9/10

B4-German 1 (Clements)- A quirky teacher speaking in a foreign language, with Sammy and IO being there. This class gets major points for that. Rating=7/10

G1-Japanese 2 (Bringerud)- I'm getting sick of Japanese, but Branden, Hermes and Penguin are in it, plus B-rud is cool. Rating=6/10

G2-Algebra 2 (Fortuna)- I don't know how I feel about this one yet, so we'll get to it whenever. Fortuna is decent, and I've got this class with Mandi and Matt Hurley. Rating=7/10

G3-Earth/Space Science (Gummer)- Gummer is letting Taylor Walden, Rachel Irvine, and Matt Hurley sit together for all semester if we all get A's. Motivation. Plus Kayla Andis rocks the world. Rating=8/10

G4-Creative Writing (Heck)- Seems like it's going to be a good class. Elise and a few others are in it. Schyler purposely sits far away from me (Joking, chill). Rating=7/10

Over all classes=8 1/2 out of 10

So, the first day was cool. Sure, I had the same locker for three years and they moved everyone to a new one, but it's actually helpful. The only class I have past the mid hallways is Psychology, and my new locker is right where I need it for classes. I get to have Blue Lunch with friends, and Gold lunch with Ellen. I've got friends in all classes. It's a good start to the school year, and drama hasn't even started.

After school, Anthony and I went over to Ellen's where we hung out with her, her little sister, and Beth. Much fun. Except the trampoline likes hurting people.

<3 Peace
~Zaq

Postscript: The picture above feature IO Batka after school. She called dibs on the first pic. Luckily for me, she is wacky, which metaphors the chaos of the first day back.
